    RENTAL AND CATERING SERVICE INFORMATION

    Whether your event is all business or simply social, the Anchorage Museum is a distinctive venue. Beautiful works of art are the backdrop for any event at the museum. To book an event or for more information, please contact the facility rental coordinator at (907) 929-9261 or e-mail rentals@anchoragemuseum.org.

    NOTE: Museum space rental is currently on hold in response to COVID-19.

    SPACES AVAILABLE FOR RENT

    ATRIUM

    The atrium's contemporary space and impressive marble staircase provide an elegant environment for a truly memorable occasion, including weddings, receptions and dinner parties. The rental fee includes a podium, microphone, chairs and tables. A piano is available for a fee. Capacity is 220 seated (160 in December) and 500 for a casual affair.

    MUSE

    Muse restaurant offers a metropolitan setting for sophisticated events. Capacity 85 seated, 110 cocktails.

     

    BRIAN E. DAVIES CHUGACH GALLERY

    The fourth floor Chugach Gallery delivers breathtaking mountain views and an urban chic atmosphere. Exclusive rental with limited availability. Capacity is 70 seated, 100 for a casual affair.

    Auditorium

    AUDITORIUM

    The auditorium's film screen, proscenium stage and comfortable seating make it an excellent choice for large meetings, conferences, performances or slideshows. The rental fee includes a podium, microphone, chairs, tables, DVD player, overhead projector and slide projector. A piano is available for a fee. A projectionist is available for hire. Capacity 220.

    Thomas Planetarium

    THOMAS PLANETARIUM

    The Thomas Planetarium offers a fascinating, enjoyable way to learn about astronomy and space. The new, 530-square-foot facility lets visitors journey to the stars, taking trips through the solar system or joining in the Imaginarium's presentations that explore the night sky. The planetarium is accessible to people with disabilities. No food or drink allowed. Capacity 38.

    Add-on galleries

    Gallery Spaces

    For a special touch, add one or more of these distinct galleries: Discovery Center, Art of the North, Alaska Exhibition or Smithsonian Arctic Studies Center. These galleries are available for rent solely in conjunction with rental of a primary space. No food or drink allowed.

    ENTIRE MUSEUM

    Guests enjoy exclusive access to all the museum’s galleries and public spaces. Premium traveling exhibit access may be arranged for an additional fee. Muse restaurant and Museum Store not included.

     

    AVAILABILITY

    Spaces become available for rentals after the museum is closed. Museum summer hours are 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily May through September. Winter hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday, with extended hours to 9 p.m. on Friday and noon to 6 p.m. Sunday, closed Mondays.
