Leadership and Vision
The Anchorage Museum is guided by a commitment to serve as a place of connection, linking people, place, and ideas across Alaska and beyond.
Museum leadership collaborates with staff, artists, partners, and communities to shape a program of exhibitions, research, and public engagement that reflects the complexity of the North and its global relevance. The focus is not only on what the museum presents, but how it listens, responds, and evolves over time.
The Anchorage Museum is a private non-profit 501(C)3 organization with a mission to be a museum for people, place, planet, and potential, in service of a sustainable and equitable North, with creativity and imagination for what is possible.
The museum is accredited by the American Alliance of Museums and receives support from the Anchorage Museum Foundation, the Municipality of Anchorage, and additional private, corporate, and foundation funds.
