Group Visits

People Staircase Hero

Located in Downtown Anchorage, on the traditional homeland of the Dena'ina Eklutna, the Anchorage Museum is Alaska's largest museum and a leading center for the art, history, and culture of the North. Through permanent collections, rotating exhibitions and the on-site Smithsonian Arctic Studies Center, the Museum connects visitors to the stories, science and landscapes that define this land and its peoples.

A group visit is more than a tour. It is a shared experience: one that opens conversation, deepens understanding, and returns visitors to the world outside with a new perspective.

PLAN YOUR VISIT

Group visits are available for travel groups, school parties, corporate groups and tour operators. Advance booking is required. We recommend reserving your visit at least two weeks ahead to secure your preferred date and time.

Our visitors tell us the Anchorage Museum is the best place to start or end their visit to Alaska because we provide context for everything they will see or have seen in the state through:

  • Immersive art and science experiences
  • Alaska Native-informed exhibitions and interpretation
  • Hands-on Discovery Center for all ages
  • Architecture that reflects the contemporary North
