(CANCELED) Seeding Repair & Reuse: Upcycled Ceramics

This event has ended. It was scheduled for 8/9/2022.

    6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Aug 9

    In-Person Event

    Seed Lab, 111 W. 6th Ave, Anchorage

Broken pottery and ceramics can live a second life as wearable art. Join instructors from Furnish Studio + Salvage to turn broken plates and dishes into jewelry. Discuss how to select pieces and design your own wearables to take home. Objects will be provided for hands-on practice, but participants are welcome to bring their own pieces. Materials provided. Free. Registration required.

Seed Lab Repair Workshop tutorials and discussions change monthly and are intended to share ideas and new skills to prolong the life of a garment or textile to keep it out of the landfill and to foster a repair culture, where mending is the first response, rather than discarding and replacing.
