Three of Alaska's most celebrated songwriters will take the stage together for an evening of music, stories, and spontaneous collaboration during “Parlor in the Round,” an outdoor concert on the Anchorage Museum Lawn. 

Presented in partnership with the Anchorage Downtown Partnership and the Anchorage Museum, the concert features Tyson Davis (Blackwater Railroad Company), Emma Hill, and Ashley Young, hosted by Kevin Worrell.

Unlike a traditional concert, “Parlor in the Round” is equal parts songwriter showcase, storytelling event, and musical game show. Throughout the evening, artists take turns performing original songs, sharing the stories behind them, and responding to creative prompts submitted by the audience that inspire new collaborations and unexpected moments. Every performance is unique, inviting audiences into the songwriting process while celebrating the craft, humor, and humanity behind great songs.

Emma Hill has become one of Alaska's most respected singer-songwriters through nearly two decades of heartfelt songwriting and captivating performances. Raised in Sleetmute and now based in Anchorage, Hill has toured throughout North America and Europe while earning praise from No Depression, PopMatters, Willamette Week, and Maverick Magazine. She is also the founder of Spenard Song Circle, one of Anchorage's premier songwriter showcases, and a leading voice in Alaska's creative community.

Tyson Davis is the songwriter, guitarist, and frontman of Blackwater Railroad Company, one of Alaska's premier Americana bands. Known for their high-energy blend of folk, bluegrass, country, rock, and soul, the band has spent more than a decade touring Alaska and beyond. Their latest album, Caravan, follows the critically acclaimed A Lovely Place to Die, which earned praise from Glide Magazine, Americana UK, and Take Effect Reviews. Beyond the stage, Davis is the founder of HatcherRomp!, the annual music festival at Skeetawk celebrating Alaska artists and strengthening the state's independent music community.

Ashley Young is an Anchorage-based Tlingit singer-songwriter whose powerful vocals and deeply personal songwriting have made her one of Alaska's fastest-rising artists. Since launching her solo career, she has shared stages with artists including Portugal. The Man, Hiatus Kaiyote, and Medium Build, while earning recognition as a Native Arts and Cultures Foundation LIFT Fellow and a First Peoples Fund Artist in Business Leadership Fellow. She also serves as President of MusicAlaska, helping support and advocate for Alaska's music industry.
