Join visiting artist James Hart for an artist demo in the Anchorage Museum. Hart will have finished and unfinished artwork to share and will be available to answer questions and chat with museum visitors.
About the Artist
James Gooch Eesh Hart is a Lingít artist of the Kiks.ádi clan from Haines, Alaska. Hart works mainly within traditional Formline art. In 2014 he completed a paddle carving class with Master Carver Wayne Price, which led Hart to reconnect with his Lingít culture. He serves as the President of Chilkoot Indian Association and prides himself in helping develop the tribe’s first Language and Arts department.
