Gravitational waves can, among other things, provide insights into the origins of the universe and the properties of black holes. This short film illustrates how specific telescopes designed for detecting gravitational waves effectively give Earth "ears", in addition to the "eyes" it already has with classical telescopes for visible light. This way, even the darkest regions of the universe become visible.
