Anchorage Design Week: Live Screen Print Demo

Learn about the screen-printing process and how to get graphic designs set permanently onto garments, gear, and papers using screen material, frames, ink and squeegees.

Craig Updegrove, longtime Anchorage designer and creative community advocate, will be preparing t-shirts with designs that will debut at the ANC Design Week's Fairview Interventions event, at the Kosinski Fields during the Fur Rondy Snowshoe Softball on Saturday, February 24th. Stop by the ArtLab to chat with Craig about his research and creative process in generating the designs as well as learn about the tools, equipment, and space that are needed to screen print items successfully.

Craig's designs are inspired by the Fairview neigborhood of Anchorage and were generated as prospective advocacy tools that celebrate the community and serve as conversation starters for the Fairness for Fairview project, an initiative of design week partner NeighborWorks Alaska.

Free with museum admission.
