Sugpiaq artist Tanya Lukin Linklater will be performing “Supple swells // course shores” alongside artists Melissa Shaginoff, Erin Ggaadimits Ivalu Gingrich, and Kimberly Fulton Orozco. The performance is based on Lukin Linkater’s extensive research on ancestral Sugpiaq basket-making practices and cultural belongings held within museum collections.  

Work by artists Jenny Irene and Joel Isaak Łiq'a yes will also be on display. This temporary installation is part of Chitl’ idghalnen (The snow has melted) for Curate the North, a collaborative project of Curating Indigenous Circumpolar Cultural Sovereignty, The Alaska Native Heritage Center, and the Anchorage Museum.
