Lemonade Stand Art Trailer @ Seed Lab

Venture out to see a traveling art gallery hosted at Seed Lab, displaying current exhibition Kick the Can by artist Klara Maish.

Kick the Can is a visual microhistory of the enduring legacies of militarization, resource extraction, outdoor recreation, and long-term scientific monitoring on the C'ulc'ena' Luu' (Gulkana Glacier) located in the Eastern Alaska Range. The project brings together found objects, paintings, drawings, and cyanotypes to tell a story of the cultural and climate forces that have shaped the Gulkana Glacier over the last 100 years. Kick the Can is the first iteration of a ten-year project about the Gulkana Glacier by Klara Maisch and is presented in partnership with The Lemonade Stand.

The Lemonade Stand is a 1965 Playmate pull-behind trailer recovered from the shorelines of Summit Lake, a lake fed by the meltwater of the Gulkana Glacier. Led by Tamara Wilson, The Lemonade Stand travels throughout Alaska as an art space that encourages experimental, performance, and installation art in addition to more traditional mediums.
