Alaska artist Kate Powers will lead a mixed media workshop that marks the return of light as the sun emerges from winter’s deep indigo and ultramarine shadows.
In this hands-on session, participants will explore techniques beyond traditional watercolor, including plastic wrap, salt blooms, spray bottles, and alcohol washes. Palette and tools are meant to represent ice, snow, and luminous contrasts. No experience needed; all materials provided.
Designed for all skill levels. Ages 16+. $45. Registration required. Questions can be sent to clindquist@anchoragemuseum.org.
