About the Artist
Jamie Hirano is a fiber and textile artist whose practice begins with the body and radiates outward into acts of making, gathering, and connection. Standing 4’ 11¾”, Hirano learned to sew to make clothing fit, then gradually began using sewing to make space in the world for herself. What began as a functional skill became both a creative language and a way of moving through the world.
