For more than five decades, Anchorage artist Duke Russell has documented the people, places and stories of his community through his artwork. But his commitment to bringing people together extends beyond the canvas and into the kitchen. Join us for a conversation about how cooking for groups supports his community activism and creates opportunities for connection and care. Surrounded by Russell's paintings and Ward Wells's photographs in the exhibition Everyday Anchorage: Duke Russell & Ward Wells, visitors are invited to take a seat at the table and consider what it means to prepare a meal for a neighbor.
