Planetarium Show: "Rapid Space Shorts - Waiting Far Away"
6:30 p.m., 7 p.m., 7:30 p.m., 8 p.m., 8:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 5
"An explorer of the cosmos has traveled too far... and can't find home. Find out what grand mysteries he has uncovered while journeying deep into intergalactic space." In the creative process of producing planetarium shows, there is often imagery that is stunning but doesn't work in the context of a science show. Produced by the Charles Hayden Planetarium at the Museum of Science - Boston, this fulldome short is a hybrid form of storytelling, mixing imagination with real data.
Rapid Space Shorts are short planetarium experiences that range from constellation tours of the night sky to cruising around the solar system to learning about light and the aurora borealis and many other astronomy topics.
Free; ticket required and available at the front desk after 6 p.m.
