Astronomy Day at the Anchorage Museum

Join us for Astronomy Day at the Anchorage Museum and celebrate the universe through hands-on experiences, free planetarium programs and community partnerships.

Observe the sun with solar telescopes, imagine life on an exoplanet, and experience spacecraft missions in a new way through augmented reality. Preview our latest planetarium show, Always Above, an exploration of how close space is to our daily lives and the U.S. Space Force’s role in launching, operating, and defending satellites. Then, celebrate our lunar connection with Mission Moon Glow, an installation from local artists Carol Cunningham Turner and Tom Turner. Included with admission.
