Anchorage Museum Book Club: Nuking Alaska

Come together to read and discuss works of fiction and non-fiction focusing on the history and cultures of the Circumpolar North. The Anchorage Museum Book Club meets four times per year, and you may join us for one or all of our meetings. After each book club discussion, we will explore the museum’s galleries and look at art, objects, and cultural belongings related to the book we read. In November’s meeting we will be discussingNuking Alaska: Notes of an Atomic Fugitive, a graphic novel about the nuclear threats to Alaskans during the Cold War, written by Peter-Dunlap Shohl .
