Planetarium Show: "Conversations in the Dome - Black Holes"

Join us in the Thomas Planetarium for an in-depth program all about Black Holes. After watching the new planetarium movie, Supermassive Black Holes, discover what we do and don't know about these mysterious celestial objects from a local expert! Dr. Erin Hicks from the University of Alaska Anchorage presents her black hole research and how the James Webb Space Telescope is helping to uncover more of our unseen universe.

Recommended for ages 10 and up. 

$10, includes museum admission. Museum members receive 50% discount. 

About the Speaker 
Dr. Erin Hicks is a professor and Chair of the Physics and Astronomy department at the University of Alaska Anchorage. Dr. Hicks studies galaxy formation and evolution, including the role black holes play.

Conversations in the Dome utilizes the planetarium’s immersive environment and invites community experts to share their local passion and knowledge on a variety of topics.
