In We Do This ‘Til We Free Us, Mariame Kaba writes, “First, when we set about trying to transform society, we must remember that we ourselves will also need to transform. Our imagination of what a different world can be is limited … Let’s ask, what can we imagine for ourselves and the world?”
In this two-hour generative writing workshop, attendees will consider the ways in which they give and receive care and will imagine futures in which care work outside institutions is abundant and central to everyday life. Designed for self-identifying femme individuals, participants will write and read to each other using prompts from the zine “In the Future There Are No Hospitals.” Free.
