Take reuse to a new level and make wearable art and creative objects from recycled materials and other refuse. In the spirit of Trashion – clothing and accessories created from used, thrown-out, found, and repurposed elements – the Anchorge Museum is encouraging creative making with found objects. Creative upcyclers will drop in to make with workshop hosts and community members, or pick up materials for their own making.
Doors open at 6 p.m., clean up begins at 8 p.m. Free. Registration recommended, but drop-ins welcome.
This is an active opportunity to make “trashion” garments and wearables for the Trashion Show event on Thursday, June 11, at the Anchorage Museum.
