Adventures of an Alaska Woman Biologist: Margaret F. Merritt, Ph.D.

Discover the adventures of an Alaska woman biologist as she relates studies of a variety of animal populations including salmon, king crab, moose and caribou. Under often harrowing conditions, she overcame challenges to ensure conservation measures sustained fish and game for the community’s well-being. For many assignments, she was the first woman to undertake the job. Her persistence to succeed was motivated by the allure of adventure, the intrigue of nature, and the splendor of Alaska’s pristine wilderness.
