Unbound: Crafting Your Story
6 to 8 p.m.Art Lab
Stories help us navigate the world, express ourselves and understand each other. Sometimes, though, uncovering the right story to describe an experience can be a challenge. Whether it's an elevator pitch, a school application or sharing a tale with a friend, often all it takes to get to the next stage with your story is being asked the right questions. Join us for an interactive workshop, facilitated by Amanda Dale, designed to help you discover how you want to share your experiences. Through engaging, facilitated activities we'll work together to uncover what is most important and powerful about our stories. Come with a story in mind or a blank slate. Registration required. Space is limited. Included with admission.
Amanda Dale loves crafting and hearing stories, whether it's through her work as a producer with KSKA's "New Arrivals" program, an essay and story coach with Story Works Alaska, or an education program coordinator at the Alaska Humanities Forum. Her love for storytelling comes from her belief that any situation can be the basis for a profound story. If you think your life isn't exciting enough to share about, Amanda wants to talk to you!
