Sounds of Your Place

The Anchorage Museum has partnered with schools and organizations since 2018 to record and collect Alaska’s dynamic soundscapes. One of these partners is the Campbell Creek Science Center (CCSC). In addition to recording sounds near the CCSC, museum educators introduce local sixth-grade students to the field of soundscape ecology during the CCSC’s spring Outdoor Week. This lesson is a digital version of the museum’s Outdoor Week station.
