Space and Flight Adventures (ages 7-12) To infinity, and beyond! Learn about the forces of flight and how they impact aviation on Earth and in space. Through hands-on S.T.E.A.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math) activities, interactive science-based inquiry, planetarium shows, and gallery tours, campers will develop problem-solving skills and approaches to scientific thinking. |
Northern Adaptations (ages 7-12) Investigate the innovative technologies designed to navigate Alaska’s waters and examine how the impacts of climate change have influenced human and animal adaptations. Through hands-on S.T.E.A.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math) activities, interactive science-based inquiry, planetarium shows, and gallery tours, campers will develop problem-solving skills and approaches to scientific thinking.

Bird Camp (ages 7-12) More than 250 birds migrate to Alaska each summer. Join the Anchorage Museum for a camp to learn all about birds. Campers will learn through planetarium experiences, gallery tours, and engaging hands-on S.T.E.A.M. (science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics) activities.
|
Arctic Engineering (ages 7-12) Learn how humans and animals adapt to challenging landscapes. Campers will learn through planetarium experiences, gallery tours, and engaging hands-on S.T.E.A.M. (science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics) activities. |
|
Wayfinding (ages 7-12) Learn to explore the world around you. Through hands-on S.T.E.A.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math) activities and planetarium experiences, campers will learn how to navigate Alaska via wayfinding through land, sea, and sky. Participants will engage in these topics through the interdisciplinary lens of art, science, and traditional Indigenous knowledge. |
Arctic Marine Science (ages 7-12) Dive into the world of Arctic marine science. Through hands-on S.T.E.A.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math) activities and gallery experiences, campers will learn about Alaska’s marine ecosystem, soundscape ecology, and Arctic research projects. Participants will engage in these topics through the interdisciplinary lens of art, science, and traditional Indigenous knowledge.

Mini Makers (ages 7-12) Join a camp designed to foster innovation and creativity through tinkering, engineering, and art. Meant to inspire campers and cultivate their interests, participants will engage in hands-on S.T.E.A.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math) activities. |
Natural Forces (ages 7-12) Have a fun, hands-on learning experience exploring the natural forces that shape Alaska. Campers will journey through our exhibitions and galleries, enjoy special planetarium shows, and engage in hands-on S.T.E.A.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math) activities.

|
Dinosaur Camp (Ages 7-9) Prior to their extinction, dinosaurs reigned over our planet for 165 million years. During this camp, students will investigate all things dinosaur, hone their observation skills, and learn through a variety of engaging hands-on S.T.E.A.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Math) activities. |
Lasers (Ages 10-12) Learn the fundamentals of laser light through hands-on activities. These laser experiments inspire cooperative team-building opportunities, focusing on the science of lasers and light, what makes it unique, and how lasers are used in everyday life. Participants will have the opportunity to design their own laser music show and present their work.

Start-to-Art (Ages 7-9) Campers ages 7-9 will learn about the science of color, color theory, and art history through planetarium experiences, gallery tours, and hands-on S.T.E.A.M. (science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics) activities. Inspire your child's inner artist to bloom. |
Robotics (Ages 10-12) Discover how robots can help solve problems that affect Alaska and the North. From climate change to traversing snowy terrain and withstanding freezing temperatures, many aspects of life in Alaska could be improved with the help of robots. Campers will explore museum exhibitions, discuss complex issues, and creatively design robotic solutions by programming and building with LEGO Mindstorms® (no experience necessary). |
