Dream In Art: Anchorage School District Youth Art Show Opens March 1

ANCHORAGE, Alaska –Artwork by dozens of K-12 students is on view at the Anchorage Museum in Dream in Art: Anchorage School District Art Show, which runs March 1 through April 7, 2024. On opening night, museum admission is free to the public from 6 to 9 p.m.

This annual exhibition, now in its 52nd year, features artworks in varied media including drawings, paintings, multimedia works, photography, jewelry and sculpture. Inspired by the theme of dreams, student artists share imagery, thoughts, sensations, and aspirations in their creations.

Presented in partnership with the school district, the student art show coincides with National Youth Art Month, a celebration of visual arts programs in American schools. Student artworks will also be on display at Muldoon Library, ZJ Loussac Library, 5th Ave Mall, Eagle River-Chugiak Municipal Library and ASD Education Center.
