DISCOVERY CENTER REOPENS MARCH 4 FOR HOURLY TICKETED ENTRY

THOMAS PLANETARIUM OPEN THURSDAYS AND FRIDAYS WITH SCHEDULED MEMBER-ONLY PROGRAMMING

ANCHORAGE, AK – The Anchorage Museum’s Discovery Center reopens Thursday, March 4, with restricted spaces, 30-person capacity and hourly ticketed entry. Visitors may reserve tickets in advance online; tickets are included in museum admission.

Each ticket reserves a one-hour time slot, with visitors admitted on the hour. Ticketed walk-ins are welcome on a first-come, first-serve basis. Museum members are also required to reserve timed-entry tickets to the Discovery Center. All Discover Center ticket holders must check in at the museum’s front desk where they will be given a wearable Discovery Center admission badge.

The Discovery Center’s land, sky, water and life spaces will be fully open. Co-Lab, the innovation space and Tote KidSpace remain temporarily closed. The Thomas Planetarium reopens Thursdays and Fridays starting March 4 for scheduled programming only.

Face coverings are required for all museum visitors. Current museum hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday through Saturday, and noon to 6 p.m. Sundays. Closed Monday through Wednesday. General admission is $20, $17 Alaska residents ages 18-64, $15 seniors/students/military, $10 ages 6-12, free for ages 5 and younger. Learn more online at www.anchoragemuseum.org.
