TO OUR ANCHORAGE MUSEUM COMMUNITY
Friday, March 13, 2020
The Anchorage Museum prides itself on being a community gathering place. Our priority is also to protect and support our visitors, staff and volunteers. To support public efforts to contain the spread of COVID-19 and to not overwhelm public health systems, the Museum is closed as of 6 p.m. today, March 13, through March 31 with public programming suspended through April 6. This includes the SEED Lab building and programming.
Other updates include:
- We are postponing the North x North Festival and Critical Futures Creative Conference, originally scheduled for mid-April, until fall.
- Muse restaurant will also be closed through March 31.
- We will issue refunds for any event or program tickets purchased for canceled programs.
- We are continually monitoring this situation and will let you know if we need to extend any program suspensions or Museum closure.
Thank you for your support as we act on our belief that we must do all that we can to ensure a safe and healthy environment for our community, which at this time calls for us to minimize gatherings while maintaining the cleanest environment possible. We are following the recommendations of local, state and federal authorities.
We will continue to post museum status updates here and through our social media channels as we continue to take any actions needed to protect health and safety and to support community efforts. The situation is a changing one and we continue to monitor closely and to respond.
