The Anchorage Museum is closed during August For "Four-Week Reset"
We want to thank you for your support of the Anchorage Museum mission and programs during this year and we appreciate your participation in so many of the virtual camps, classes and programs this summer.
COVID-19 is an extremely contagious disease that is believed to mainly spread from person-to-person contact. Part of serving the public this year is doing our part to mitigate transmission intensity. The Mayor issued a proclamation of emergency (EO-15) on Friday, July 31, for a “four-week reset.” To support these public health efforts to reduce community spread of COVID-19, We are closing to the public during August. Our intent is to resume public hours beginning September 2.
We have a full slate of virtual programs and in September, are launching a three-month reimagined North X North Festival that includes outdoor installations, a mural project and film screenings, as well as virtual First Fridays, Anchorage Design Week, conversations, workshops and educational resources for parents and educators.
We hope you’ll continue to engage with us through our website, social media channels and through the virtual programs throughout the year. We are not suspending our mission or our service to the public. We will continue to adapt in all the ways that we can and hope you will continue to enjoy and support what we have to offer.
We look forward to September when we may start seeing you in person again
We rely on support from our community and you.
Please consider making a donation to support the museum during this difficult time.
