Urban Harvest: Wooden Cooking Tool Carving

Learn how to carve a spatula or spreader from wood craftsman Tony Perelli, who demonstrates the carving process from prepared blank to finished spatula. Each participant learns about carving safety, knife techniques and spoon design as they make a cooking tool from a prepared blank to take home. A 6-hour, expanded version of this 3.5 hour workshop is offered Saturday, Feb. 29. Materials included, but participants are welcome to bring their own tools if they like. For ages 16 years and older. $40, 10% discount for museum members. Space is limited; advance registration required.
