Panel: Hunger Action Month
6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Sept 27Auditorium
September is Hunger Action Month. Each year Food Bank of Alaska uses this month to engage with the community and seek out opportunities to educate and inform around issues that impact hunger in Alaska. Hear expert presenters from three different sectors in Alaska discuss how hunger is interrelated with many other issues that low-income Alaskans face. They speak to what hunger looks like from the perspective of different Alaskan populations: Children, seniors, and individuals experiencing homelessness. Panel discussion follows. Learn how you can help address hunger in Alaska, from donating food, money or time directly to the Food Bank, supporting the programs that Food Bank clients rely on to make ends meet. Included with admission.
