UPDATE: This event is SOLD OUT.
Curious to know more about the Franklin Expedition? Join us for Lost & Found: Uncovering the Mystery of the Franklin Expediton, one-day symposium featuring a panel of experts on Saturday, Sept. 21.
Join the Anchorage Museum and Muse chef Laura Cole for a culinary adventure, on the last weekend of the exhibition Death in the Ice: The Mystery of the Franklin Expedition. Visit the exhibition detailing the mystery surrounding Sir John Franklin’s ill-fated expedition and then partake in a family-style meal in Muse inspired by the foods crew members may have dined on aboard the HMS Erebus and HMS Terror. After dinner and conversation, settle into the auditorium to watch The Endurance, a dramatic documentary of Sir Ernest Shackleton's ill-fated expedition to Antarctica in 1914-1916, narrated by actor Liam Neeson. Featuring new footage of the actual locations and interviews with surviving relatives of key expedition members, plus archived audio interviews with expedition members, The Endurance is a compelling and complete look into the lives of the men who boldly took on an impossible task and survived when all hope seemed lost.
