Join us for an immersive experience of the connection between creative expression in language. The power of language is explored through the poetry of Vincent Olsen-Reeder and songs of George Holly. These two artists and scholars are leaders in language revitalization initiatives. Vincent Olsen-Reeder, PhD, is a professor in Māori Studies at Victoria University in New Zealand, a historical fiction and fiction author, poet and songwriter. George Holly is an Athabascan storyteller and songster living in Soldotna. A conversation about language revitalization follows. Free, use 7th Avenue entrance.
