Farmers across Alaska are using innovative techniques to grow produce in a Northern environment. Learn from urban farmers around the world who have made Alaska their home and who bring a wide variety of foods and flavors to this Northern climate. Cooking demonstrations incorporate flavors from across the globe with Alaska ingredients. Urban Harvest: Growing is a three-part series that began Sept. 25, continued Tuesday Oct. 2, and ends Oct. 9. Oct. 9 – Pickling & Tamales
Join master farmer Ba-Lescas Brothers to learn pickling recipes for putting away the end of summer’s bounty, and perhaps a tamale recipe, too. Presented in Spanish and English.
