Monday at the Museum: A Sensory-Friendly Series
3 to 5 p.m. Monday, March 12meet in atrium
Discovery, learning and passion are universal. By adapting the museum experience through fewer visitors, modified lighting, sound off, and close looking, the museum offers meaningful experiences for everyone. During this program, individuals and families with children experiencing sensory sensitivities may visit the Smithsonian Arctic Study Center with fewer visitors and adapted interactives and lighting. Museum staff provide informal opportunities for close looking. Parent or guardian must accompany visitors age 16 and younger. Free admission. Space is limited; registration required. Use the museum's 7th Avenue entrance.
