61° Workshop: Identity and the Admission Essay

This two-part workshop is designed for current high school students working on personal statements for college and scholarship applications. Drawing from Camouflage: In Plain Sight, participants will investigate how identity is masked and revealed when presented on paper in the context of college admissions and otherwise. The second workshop pairs students with local professional writers to discuss their essays and receive feedback. Presented in partnership with Story Works Alaska. Free. Registration required. Attendance at both sessions is required.
