Belonging

Use this book with K-12th grade students to explore what it means to belong in Alaska through the work of artists from the 1800s to the present day. In its pages, find content, writing and drawing prompts to inspire students in museum galleries or in the classroom to examine the intimate feelings of belonging—or struggling to belong—while living and creating in the North. Some of the artists and artworks featured in this resource can be found on view in the Art of the North exhibition.
