A Creative Conference: Inviting change agents from around the globe
Critical Futures is the creative and collaborative conference portion of North x North and a shared experience over five days to explore radically new modes of thinking and responding to our collective futures and to a changed climate. The conference gathers a rich community of thinkers, creative practitioners and changemakers to focus on vison, problem solving and positive change.
Critical Futures looks at three actions:
Prototype (Creating examples of future solutions)
Respond (Language, Visuals, Voices and Action)
Connect (Connections between people and places and connection to landscape as a way to understand, build awareness and respond to climate and global change)
Together, we can share, imagine, envision, invent and create possible futures. The conference is a culminating series of discussions, experiences and events. Rather than concurrent sessions, participants gather as one group throughout and develop shared platforms for collaboration and ideas.
Critical Futures is a project of the Museum’s SEED Lab, one of the five winners of the Bloomberg Philanthropies Public Art Challenge. The public art vision of SEED Lab is in partnership with the Municipality of Anchorage.
