Buy local at Anchorage Museum’s annual Summer Art Potpourri craft event
Summer Art Potpourri, the Anchorage Museum’s annual craft event, returns with a wide array of Alaska-made treasures.
From 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily in June and July, the museum hosts a revolving roster of Alaska artists who specialize in handmade jewelry, woodwork, apparel and more. All artists have work for sale; some also offer demonstrations.
Summer Art Potpourri is juried, meaning artists apply for the opportunity and are selected by a committee of artists and museum staff. Artists chosen for this year’s event include Rick Potter, hand-forged metal jewelry; Kitty Kincaid, silk apparel; and Tamara Johannes, fused glass. Find a complete artist list in the attached document.
A portion of the proceeds benefits the Anchorage Museum.
The Anchorage Museum is the largest museum in Alaska and one of the top 10 most visited attractions in the state. The museum’s mission is to share and connect Alaska with the world through art, history and science. Learn more online at www.anchoragemuseum.org.
