Poets on Poets
Thursday, April 24 at 7:30 p.m., Auditorium
The Anchorage Museum of History and Art celebrates National Poetry Month with Poets on Poets, an event featuring local poets who will be participating in an open community reading of their favorite published poems hosted by Anchorage poet Faye Sikora. Other poets will include Darryl Akins, Corrina Delgado, Delphia Rowe and Andrea Stringer. Budding poets and aficionados are encouraged to bring and read selections of favorite poems. National Poetry Month brings together publishers, booksellers, literary organizations, libraries, schools, and poets around the country to celebrate poetry and its vital place in American culture. Thousands of businesses and non-profit organizations participate nationwide through readings, festivals, book displays, workshops, and other events. The event is free.
