Alaska Bead Society's Fall Bead Event
October 10, 2002
Oct. 19, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Oct. 20, 1 to 5 p.m
It was standing room only at last year's event. Become bedazzled this fall when the Museum again hosts the Alaska Bead Society's Fall Bead Event. For two days--Oct. 19, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Oct. 20, 1 to 5 p.m--more than 40 artists will display extraordinary handmade glass beads and beadwork. Now in its sixth year, the event features demonstrations in lampworking (glass bead-making), beading stitchwork techniques and the opportunity for visitors to make their own bead jewelry. Don't miss this dazzling event. Admission is free for Museum members, $6.50 for non-members and $6 for seniors. For more information, call 343-4326.
