May 13, 2002
The popular weekly Jazz Nights series returns to the Museum Atrium every Thursday night from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. from May 16 through Sept. 12. Accomplished jazz pianist and vocalist, Melissa Bledsoe Fischer headlines the evenings along with some of her musician friends. A selection of wine and beer, along with sumptuous appetizers, are available at the Marx Bros. Café. Museum galleries remain open, allowing guests to enjoy contemporary and traditional art and the Museum's major summer exhibition John Hoover: Art and Life. Jazz Night is free for Museum members. Non-member admission is $6.50 for adults and $6 for seniors. Jazz Night is sponsored by KNIK-FM The Breeze with support from The Anchorage Press. For more information, call 343-4326.
