Ethan Lauesen is an artist with family roots in Lawáak (Klawock) in Southeastern Alaska, currently based in Fairbanks. They earned their BFA from the University of Alaska Fairbanks in 2019. They create work examining cultural aspects of gender and LGBTQIA+ identity and how they are perceived within different communities. Their work is a personal exploration of changing experiences with inter-sectional issues of race, gender, and sexuality.
