Alyssa Quintyne is a Bajan-American artist and community organizer based in Fairbanks, Alaska. Her work celebrates the stories and identities of women of color and her cultural heritage while also exploring themes of grief, death, healing, and self-care. She embraces art as a healthy way of transforming and transcending challenging situations and encouraging dialog about important issues. She has shown her work in Fairbanks and Anchorage, and served as co-curator of the past two editions of Black Alaskan Art Matters at the Perseverance Theater in Juneau.
