Andrea Wollensak is an artist and educator living in Mystic, Connecticut. Andrea is drawn to place, in particular the North, its culture, and its dynamic and rapidly changing landscape.Her research draws on various sources and she works collaboratively with communities, poets, scientists, and composers, striving to decenter a singular perspective. She is interested in multiple layers of voice, to define a visioning process that ultimately explores the larger issues of our changing climate. Andrea has exhibited internationally and received grants/residencies from the Rockefeller Center (Italy), International Artist Studio Program (Sweden), National Science Foundation and BanffArtCentre (Canada). She is Professor of Art at Connecticut College.
