The 44th annual Anchorage School District exhibition showcases artwork from some of the district’s student artists. The exhibition gives kindergarten through high school students the rare opportunity to experience their artwork in a museum. This year's theme is the “Selfie: Culture through Self Expression.” Works were selected by teachers and include drawings, paintings, multimedia works, jewelry and sculpture. Auxiliary exhibition locations are Anchorage City Hall, Chugiak-Eagle River Municipal Library and the Mall at Sears. The exhibition is presented in conjunction with National Youth Art Month, an acknowledgement of visual arts programs in American schools.
