The Anchorage Museum welcomes researchers, artists and visitors who would like to access art and material culture collections held in storage. For more information, please call (907) 929-9240.

Library & Archives

The public is welcome to visit and research the Museum’s library and archives during open hours, and by appointment. New users will be asked to complete a researcher registration form and statement of release. Resource Center's Researcher Guidelines are also available for download. POLAR LAB COLLECTIVE

Polar Lab: Collective is a program for emerging Alaska Native artists to study Anchorage Museum collections, as well as objects on display in the Smithsonian Arctic Studies Center's Living Our Cultures exhibition. The program seeks to offer insights and technical details to artists through in-depth research and collaboration with Museum collections staff. More information is available here.
