ATWOOD RESOURCE CENTER
Educators are welcome to do research in the museum’s Atwood Resource Center. The comfortable, quiet center features a non-lending library of 12,000 Alaska-related books and publications, as well as 500,000 historic photographs.

On www.akart.org, find a model curriculum that fosters an appreciation and understanding of Alaska art and culture, including Native art and culture. Developed for K-12 teachers, AK Art is a resource based on national and state standards. The lessons are integrated with other subject areas and sequential. The image bank of Alaska art and artifacts features highlights from the Anchorage Museum’s permanent collection.
