COMING THANKSGIVING WEEKEND 2010

Crafts Weekend returns Thanksgiving weekend with a wide array of handmade, one-of-a-kind crafts.

The only juried holiday crafts show in Anchorage features the best work in the state. More than 50 Alaska artists will sell their handmade work at this event, which is in its 22nd year. Visitors can choose from jewelry, pottery, wearable art, glass, woodwork and more.

Crafts Weekend runs in conjunction with the 17th annual ReadAlaska Book Fair, featuring Alaska publishers, authors and illustrators selling their work. Live music and specialty food tables add to the festive atmosphere.

A portion of each sale helps fund programs and exhibitions at the Anchorage Museum. Admission is free.
