SUMMER CAMPS/CLASSES

Keep your kids engaged and active this summer at the museum’s award-winning summer camps. Robotics. Sculpture. Fizzy lab experiments. Whatever your child’s latest interest, there’s a museum program to match. This summer parents can choose from two types of summer programs:

CAMPS
For two years in a row, Nickelodeon’s Parents Picks named the Anchorage Museum’s Imaginarium Explorer Camps as Best Day Camp in Anchorage. These weeklong day camps for children promise seven weeks of discovery and fun. Camps are taught by certified teachers or professional educators and are accredited by the American Camp Association, ensuring quality and safety.

CLASSES
These two-hour alternatives to camps distill the educational fun into a smaller package. Several new classes are designed around the Mammoths and Mastodons exhibition, using the Ice Age setting as a springboard for learning about art, storytelling and more.

WHO: Campers ages 6 to 12

WHEN: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. for one week between June 6 and July 22

WHERE: Pacific Northern Academy

FEES: Fees vary according to camp and are listed in the camp schedule. Museum members receive a discount, as do families signing up for multiple camps.
