Let's make art at the museum!
The museum offers a variety of ways to learn about and create art. Children, teens, adults and families can explore drawing, painting, sculpture, photography and more. Museum members receive discounts on class fees.

Portfolio Prep
Ages 15 to 18
4 to 6 p.m. Saturdays, Feb. 9 to April 12, (no class March 9 or 15)
Cost is $100 members and $120 non-members
Join other art students and develop an art portfolio. Emphasis is on drawing, creating a portfolio, as well as photo documentation of completed work. AP-certified art educator David Moore will lead structured studio time. The work created in this class can supplement any Advance Placement Art Studio class. A supply list is available.
Teen Volunteer Corps
Ages 16 to 18
Anytime between 3 and 5 p.m. Wednesdays or Fridays, February through April
Learn about volunteering in the museum's education department. This is a great opportunity for anyone with a passion for art and history or digital photography and graphic arts. Free activity.

PAYMENT
Payment must be received prior to the first class meeting. Payment can be made by credit card, cash (if paying cash you will get a receipt) or check (payable to Anchorage Museum Association) made out to the Anchorage Museum Association.

NOTE:
The museum is an accredited cultural institution offering year round programs for children and adults. Its Art Classes are exempt from the Municipality of Anchorage child care and educational center code (under AMC 16.55.050B.8.) which states that the museum has a "recreational program that children are allowed to attend voluntarily in which the program assumes no responsibility for care of the children, and in which all children are of school age.
