Public-at-Large membership opportunities

The Anchorage Museum has a continuous open call for members of the public to participate in the Museum’s Acquisitions Committee.

The Museum’s acquisitions committee is an advisory body that serves an important role in building a strong Museum collection, with representation from the AMA Board, museum staff, Cook Inlet Historical Society, and the public at-large. The role of the Committee is to balance individual expertise and interests to reflect the multi-disciplinary mission of the Museum—to connect people, expand perspectives, and encourage global dialogue about the North and its distinct environment. Currently, public members serve for a 3-year term, with the option to renew for a second term.

If you have questions or wish to learn more about the Acquisitions Committee, please call 907-929-9240. Interested candidates can submit a letter of interest and resume here.
